Are you licensed?
- Yes!
Are you insured?
- Yes! Some wedding venues require proof of insurance so please let me know if this is needed and if so, I’m happy to provide it.
How far in advance will we need to book you as our wedding photographer?
- The earlier the better! In order to provide the best service to my clients, I photograph a limited number of weddings each year.
May we meet before the wedding?
- Yes please! As a former bride-to-be myself, I understand how important it is to find and trust someone who shares your style, vision, and vibe. I know that you’ll have a lot of questions and I’m more than happy to answer them for you. Please contact me so that we can connect over coffee or via Zoom!
How many hours of coverage should we book?
- Location/travel times, wedding party/family size, and which details/events you'd like captured will impact the amount of time needed to document your beautiful day. When we connect, I'll provide you with a sample timeline and I'm happy to offer recommendations based on your wedding day plans.
What is required to officially book you? When is our final payment due?
- I require a digitally signed contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer to reserve your date. The remaining balance will be required 30 days prior to your wedding day.
What happens after we pay our retainer?
- We will schedule your Save-the-Date or Engagement Session (if applicable). About 2 months prior to your wedding day, I will send you a link to my online questionnaire to gather specific information about your “day of” wedding details. A few weeks prior to your wedding day, we will schedule a meeting to scout your wedding day locations and discuss your photography schedule.
- Yes! I can provide you with a checklist of tips for you and tips for your caterer to help minimize your wedding's environmental impact.
How soon after our wedding will our photos ready?
- I know that you’ll be very excited to see your images so I will post a few sneak peek images to my Jamie V Photography Facebook page and Instagram profile within 2 weeks after your wedding. Your Personal Online Image Gallery and USB of images will be ready between 6-8 weeks after your wedding day.
How many images will we receive?
- I will carefully select and edit the best images that tell the story of your wedding day. Depending on the length of coverage, clients will receive between 300-800 images.
May our wedding day images be downloaded or purchased online?
- Yes! Images from your wedding will be available via your Personal Online Image Gallery, which can easily be shared with your family and friends for viewing, purchasing, and downloading.
Where should I print my images?
- I will provide you with a list of my favorite local and online vendors.
What type of equipment do you use?
- I use professional Canon Mirrorless & DSLR Cameras and professional series lenses, flashes, and other accessories.
Do you have backup equipment?
- Yes! I will have an additional camera body, memory cards, and batteries on hand.
Do you photograph Destination Weddings?
- Yes! As you can see from my Instagram and Facebook Page, I absolutely LOVE to travel and do so frequently! Please contact me for rates outside of Whatcom or Skagit County. Rates will include mileage cost, ferry fares, or airline tickets and hotel/transportation expenses.
Do you photograph Elopements or Backyard Weddings?
- Yes! I love capturing intimate ceremonies in beautiful places - please contact me for pricing.
