For my birthday weekend this year, Chuck and I ferried over to beautiful San Juan Island. This was my first time setting foot on this particular island – I know, hard to believe that I’ve never been…

What a gorgeous place! We had a great time doing my very favorite things: exploring scenic places, taking pictures, hiking, beachcombing, eating good food and drinking good drinks – cheers to 35 years of fun!

My favorite self-timer from the trip – the cool shipyard where we stayed. A huge THANK YOU to our friend Jensen’s parents for letting us stay on their boat – it was fantastic!

Our San Juan Island dining highlights:

The Bean Cafe – Fantastic lunch – loved their panini sandwiches

Cask and Schooner Public House & Restaurant – The best bacon, apple, date chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. The garlicy scallop pasta was amazingly tasty as well…
